Buxton Festival Fringe goes live for entries

PRESS RELEASE For immediate release - November 2nd 2007

Participants at next year's Buxton Festival Fringe can make their application online from Tuesday November 13, also the date of this year's AGM at the Old Hall Hotel.

The Fringe website http://www.buxtonfringe.org.uk will go live for entries on this date with performers and exhibitors able to find out all the details they need on the updated Entrants' Info section. It has never been easier to enter the Fringe - you can fill your form in online and also pay online.

Says Buxton chair John Wilson: 'This year there is an even greater incentive to get your entry in early as we are operating a sliding scale of charges so that the sooner you enter, the cheaper it is for you.' If you enter up to and including February 29, the entry fee is just £40. The cost from March 1 to 31 goes up to £60 and from April 1 to 26 to £80. Please note that the strict final deadline is now April 26 not May 1. John adds: 'Now that the Fringe is so big we need to start processing the entries earlier. If you enter early you get your details immediately displayed on the website so it is also a way of publicising yourself for longer.'

Would be performers without access to the Internet should contact John Wilson on 01298 70562 for further information.

Next year's Fringe runs from July 9-27, a few days longer than usual to coincide with the extended Buxton Festival, so it should be a bumper event.

Anyone interested in becoming involved behind the scenes or who has an interest in the Fringe is invited to attend the AGM at the Old Hall Hotel on Tues 13 at 7.30pm.
