Dynamic dance at Buxton Festival Fringe

Press Release for immediate release May/June 2007

A small but vibrant dance section at this year's Fringe (July 6-22) encompasses an impressive variety of styles.

Sensational Salsa and Manchester-based Latin band, Jaso Fula, are putting on a fabulous Salsa Ball in the opulent surroundings of the Palace Hotel. Book early to avoid disappointment.

There is further excitement in the unlikely setting of Buxton Infant School when Fringe Award-winning Siyaya Arts return with their sell-out African show incorporating native costume, traditional dance and infectious songs.

Buxton Infant School is also the venue for Split Soul Dance Theatre's moving two-woman production 'Journalist and Hope', direct from London's ICA.

If you are passing the Opera House be sure to catch Domod's five-minute open-air show - an inspirational dance on the theme of hyper-mobile-joint syndrome.

The Fringe would like to expand its Dance section. If you would like to take part next year, whether through performances, open-air acts or workshops, please Send message to Info.
