The Missing Page

Press Release: For immediate release June 23 2007

With 443 performances from 109 entrants in 37 venues covering everything from Street Theatre to Table Magic you might think Buxton Festival Fringe has everything. But something is missing! Page 36 of the programme to be precise.

There are two page 35s but that doesn't really help. Fortunately the errant page lists the events for parts of the last Friday and Saturday of the Fringe (20/21 July) so Fringers will have plenty of time to pick up copies of it, which will be available from the Fringe Desk next to the Opera House and all venues from July 6th. Alternatively the web wise can download it from http://www.buxtonfringe.org.uk.

For free previews of what's on this year, Underground Venues are holding a launch party in the Orchestra Pit under the Old Hall Hotel on Friday July 5th from 7:30 to midnight and the Fringe is having a party in the park around the bandstand in Pavilion Gardens from 2 to 4:30 on Sunday the 8th. All are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy the free entertainment.

John Wilson, the chair, says, "Buxton Festival Fringe is the largest open arts festival in the north. It has something for everyone several times over. Who needs page 36?"
