Fringe Sunday - all the fun of the Fringe for free!

The now traditional annual event of Fringe Sunday offers a chance to see a wide variety of Fringe acts for free.
Says Fringe chair Stephanie Billen: 'If you've ever wondered what goes on at the Buxton Festival Fringe, but don't know where to start, then do come along to Buxton's Pavilion Gardens on Sunday July 10 to grab a balloon, enjoy the acts and see what we are all about. It won't cost you a penny!'
Hosted by Lucy Jones and Dan Large, Fringe Sunday provides something for everyone. In the Bandstand, there's Buxton's brand new community choir, Local Voices and classical guitar from two talented practitioners, Edward Billingham and Richard Taylor. There's comedy from all-girl troupe Kooky Babooshka, local musician and actor Alan Charnley (in his alter ego of Victor Barstool), music from Glass Ankle and drama from Ashrow Theatre performing an excerpt from their Fringe show Being Nice.
In the Fringe Gazebo, meet time-travelling Victorian adventurers Birdy Chick-Chick with Alice Your Time Is Up! Nose2Nose give a taste of the interactive one-man show Space while GC Morgan performs an extract from his fast and furious psychological comedy Witzelsucht & Moria.
The Family Tent will be a honeypot for children thanks to balloon modeler Bobby Martell and Fringe face-painter Suzanne Pearson.
On the move around the promenade will be plenty of entertainment for families. Watch out for jwpoetry with an introduction to children's verse, little GIANT productions with their version of the fairy story, The Enormous Turnip, and Catfoot with the children's favourite, Cowboy Baby.
High Peak Magicians will amaze the crowds with close-up magic and no Fringe Sunday would be complete without the spectacular gyrations of Belly Dance Flames, whose image adorns the Fringe's programme this year.
