Haddon Hall Care Home residents celebrate Fringe40!

PRESS RELEASE for immediate release July 15th 2019

Haddon Hall Care Home residents created a spectacular Fringe40 window display as part of a recent open day there.

Fringe Community Links officer Linda Rolland (pictured with residents) and Marketing Officer Stephanie Billen led the participants in a hands-on art workshop involving collage and painting. Earlier in the day residents were also treated to a display of art from the Buxton Art Trail with talks from some of the artists taking part.

Says Linda: "It's always a privilege to meet with the residents and bring our activities to people who cannot easily come out to us. We enjoy the opportunity to share their stories about times and experiences which are often stimulated by sharing artwork. It is also very rewarding to bring art-making activities to some of the residents who have dementia, appealing directly to sensory pleasures with the use of paint and colour."

Buxton Fringe is celebrating its 40th year with a bumper event which runs until July 24. For further information see www.buxtonfringe.org.uk or the new Buxton Fringe app.
