Sing along with Buxton Fringe - in person!

PRESS RELEASE November 25th 2021 - For immediate release

After Covid put paid to live socialising last Christmas, Buxton Fringe is delighted to be inviting everyone to raise a glass and join in with a festive sing-along at its open-to-all Christmas Party at Buxton’s Green Man Gallery.

This exciting event will take place on Saturday December 11th from 7 to 9pm, offering a chance to sing traditional Derbyshire Village Carols as well as to mingle with the Fringe team. Wine and light food will be provided with all donations going to the Fringe, a registered charity run by volunteers. The Fringe is grateful to Dr Ian Russell who published The Derbyshire Book of Village Carols and to Kaleidoscope Choir’s Carol Bowns, who will be leading the singing.

Stephen Walker, chair of the Buxton Festival Fringe says: “After the return to live performance during this summer's Buxton Fringe, its good to get back to our Christmas party after a year off. Our Derbyshire Village Carols sing-along has become an established highlight of the festive season, and also marks the opening of entries to Fringe 2022."

Performers can enter from December 1st with next year's Fringe taking place from July 6-24. Party-goers will have an opportunity to ask any questions as well as to get involved behind the scenes or become a Fringe Friend. Full details on the entry process can be found in the Take Part information on the Fringe website www.buxtonfringe.org.uk. A discounted entry fee will be available until the end of February!
