BURBAGE BAND ANNIVERSARY CONCERT - Burbage Band
Burbage Brass Band was formed in 1861. In 1914 the band decided to join up en masse and became the band of the Cheshire Regiment. They marched through the town before setting off to Macclesfield. This concert commemorates that event and celebrates 150 years of the band's proud history.

CHAMBER MUSIC FOR BASSET CLARINET AND STRINGS - Liz Jordan with the Deconet String Quartet
Clarinettist Liz Jordan will join the Deconet Quartet (Louise Latham and Nicola Bright, violins, Mary Anderson, viola and Mary Dainton, cello) to perform Mozart's sublime quintet on the basset clarinet (for which it was originally composed). Dvorak's mighty last string quartet, Op 106, completes the programme.
